Tuscan Ziti Skillet

Serves 6

 

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Roasted Garlic Summer Sausage, medium diced
  • 1 medium onion, small diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1lb. Penne pasta, cooked according to package directions
  • Pinch of Salt and pepper
  • 2 15-oz cans petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup of fresh basil, chiffonade
  • 1 6 oz. block Brushchetta Mozzarella, shredded

 

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium-sized skillet on medium-low heat.  Add sausage and onions. Heat until the sausage releases its juices and onions are translucent; about 10 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and cook for one minute. Add oregano, salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes and cooked pasta. Stir until pasta and tomatoes are warm.  Add basil and cheese and serve.
