Cuban Pressed Panini

Serves 2 sandwiches

 

Ingredients

  • 4 large slices of Italian bread
  • 12 oz Applewood Smoked Summer Sausage, sliced lengthwise
  • 6 oz Alpine Baby Swiss, sliced thin
  • Farmers Market Whole Grain Mustard
  • ¼  cup dill Pickles, roughly chopped
  • Romaine lettuce
  • 2 plum tomatoes, sliced
  • Butter or olive oil

 

Instructions

  1. Heat the sausage in a skillet over medium heat just until warmed. Wipe out the skillet for later use.
  2. Assemble sandwiches. Spread half of the mustard on two slices of bread. Layer the sausages, cheese, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes on top. Top with bread.
  3. Spread butter or oil on the outside bread slices.  Heat in the cleaned skillet over medium temperature until the bread is toasted on both sides. Slice sandwiches in half and enjoy!
